Herein lie mirage plush- pokémon plush of unknown origin or maker. Many were given as prizes at carnivals, fairs, etc. Many originate in Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, South America, Europe, and in one or two cases, Africa. Many appear to be rip-offs or bootlegs of existing plush such as UFO catchers, Play By Plays, or Hasbro plush. Obviously, these plush are very rare, in some cases, less than five examples of each are known to exist. Mirages only exist of pokémon from Generation 1 and 2, and though it is believed that every gen 1 & 2 pokémon received a mirage, many have not yet surfaced. Mirages can be worth upwards of $200 in many cases, especially the 2nd gen. pokémon, and some of the first gen. pokémon.
The gallery below was compiled of images of mirages from around the web. I only own one of the plush below. I claim no rights to any of the plush below, and all rights to pictures go to their respective owners. Major credit goes to Gin of Sunyshore for most of the Raichu plush, Mizukii's Plush Paradise (Weebly) for many of the exceptionally clear pictures, and Taiwan Mirage Plush (Weebly) as well. If anyone would like their pictures removed, please feel free to contact me. I have not included EVERY mirage I have found, as some like bulbasaur, charmander, squirtle, pikachu, togepi, and meowth are fairly common, and have many different mirages.
